The houses

Years ago, just out of the centre of Lusignac, we came across a farmhouse ruin which was to become our first restoration project - after that followed years of painstaking, loving renovation. Meanwhile we have four houses to offer you: each with its own modern comforts, garden, terrace and swimming pool.

Font Losse

font losse

Old farm properties in the Périgord have names instead of addresses. Our property is called Font Losse, was built in the 18th century by the owners of the Lusignac castle, extended in 1815 and at the end of the 19th century the separate barn was added.

La Grange

la grange

Detached from Font Losse on the opposite side of the barn and above the old stables we have converted the hayloft, where tobacco used to be dried, into a holiday apartment. La Grange is bright and colourful, well insulated with double-glazing and a modern interior.

Chez Jouan

chez jouan

Located about half a kilometre beeline from Font Losse, this charming old farmhouse was originally built in 1762, three decades before the French Revolution. Chez Jouan is a detached farmhouse covered by climbing roses and enclosed by tall acacias and walnut trees and enjoys panoramic views across valleys, meadows and vineyards. It is located in 2,000m2 of grounds on a south-west facing slope.

La Gravette

la gravette

La Gravette was built in the 18th century on the original site of the Roman settlement Bersacum. In the past centuries the house was inhabited by the caretakers of the Château Le Mas de Montet. A long driveway leads to this house of natural stone, peacefully located on a hill on five acres. From the top there is a magnificent view over the picturesque Dronne river and the privately owned Renaissance castle Le Mas de Montet, formerly the favourite accommodation of a former French president.
